What is this rock ?
What is this rock ? Found under a deck.
About a foot long. Seems porous (surface covered with tiny holes)
Quite heavy (like iron) but does not seem magnetic. Pointed at one end , Rounded at the other. ?? Meteorite that landed in a lake ? Petrified yam ?

Something thrown out of a volcano.(?) The surface seems to be the tiny holes of gas escaping as it cools. The weight suggests that the core is solid. When you say that it is not magnetic, does that mean that metal is not attracted to i or does it mean that a magnet is not attracted to it ?
