What is this rock ?

Found this under a deck.  It is about a foot long.  Superficially seems quite porous as it is covered in tiny holes if you look closely.  But it is also quite heavy (like iron) and does not seem magnetic.  The one end is quite pointed and the other is rounded .  There is no indication that is broke off of a larger rock.  A meteorite that landed in a lake ? A petrified yam ?

Update:

It does appear like pumice, but pumice is light rock.  This is very heavy. I could believe that is was a large iron plumb bob that rusted in a peculiar manner
