Have you tried your local newspaper for autoparts or miscellaneous?   Have you visited the local auto salvage yards, aka auto wreckers, aka junk yards , aka auto recyclers   Such as "PICK YOUR PART'" OR PULL A PART  or Pick and Pull  (basically all the same company using a variety of names Like That.  They get cars in 24/7/365 so, they do not know what they have in the yard.  Because people take parts off the cars to replace on their own vehicle so the record keeping is MURDER.   You want something, you go there.  They can tell you where they store the foreign cars and that is about it.  You got to walk and look.  VW parts go fast...especially door handles.  Many times cars are in head on collisions so the front is damaged, sometimes the rear.  You get what you find.

Bring tools to take off the bumpers if you find them. PP does not supply tools...or know how.  They will be able to tell you what other years have the same bumpers so maybe you got a few year span.(Sorry, you need to ask them up front for them to check their computers for (years that are the same) for parts.  Then you see the car years as it is written on the windshield glass or something in yellow crayon.  Easy peasy.  You just got to be lucky on the right day.  You take what you find immediately as some people just come to get parts and resell them in the paper for a profit.   PP just wants the metal value weight of it...so cheap.  It is all going to get crushed eventually to be melted down into beer cans or flower pots.

    Cheap?  Good luck with that...

Rare bumpers (and parts which naturally get destroyed faster than any other body part), for a fairly rare car which is almost half a century old, and you want cheap?

Dream on! Anything usable and original is expensive. Or you can buy reproduction parts which are cheaper but often need a lot of hammering and sometimes cutting and welding to actually make them fit.

Or if looks are unimportant just get some scaffold tubing cut bent and welded to shape (if your local laws permit that).

Try locating two front bumpers from a 72 Bug.

Those are hard to find.  Go to Karmann ghia forums.

You can new bumpers, about a grand.

You can get used bumpers on E-Bay.

If you are really not concerned, you can bolt on a piece of 4" x 6" lumber.

You won't find those here. There are much better places to look.
