Nissan Rogue Won't Start?

I have a 2017 Nissan Rogue that had a low battery a few days ago. We charged the battery but since then we cannot get the car to start anymore. Whenever I try the car makes a clicking sound and the lights flash. It also says that the key is not detected. The battery in the key fob has been changed and it can still open and close the car. So I'm not sure if I need to get the car towed to get it checked out or if there's a simpler solution. I've also tried getting it to start by holding the fob against the start/stop button and pushing it as the same time as the brake. Any ideas?

If the battery is older, it may not store a charge very long no matter how long you charge it. If it's more than a few years old and/or you live in a colder climate, change it out. Otherwise, you can take it to a Walmart or Auto Parts store and they can check the core (for free) to see how much the battery actually CAN hold and if it's bad or not. Not sure how long you went between charging, the car started, and then you were unable to get it to start again, but if it was a decent amount of time, it could be that your alternator is bad or has a short.

It was a dead battery. Thanks to everyone's response, saved me having to get my car towed to get it looked at.

Your battery charger isn't working. Either you have bad connections or the battery has a dead cell and won't take a charge.

If the battery has died charging will have no lasting effect. My bet is that a new battery is needed.
