WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT! This is NOT an old GM BUICK ENGINE ! This is a RACE ENGINE with certain SPEC NUMBERS of OIL to use! WHAT DOES YOUR OIL FILLER CAP SAY to use! You are BEST using the '0' series from of it, like 0W-20; 0W-30! USING PENNZOIL ULTRA PLATINUM will get you a extended engine warranty to 500,000 miles NEVER USE VALVOLINE< fi you HAVE used it, get your THROTTLE BODY< and IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE deluded and cleaned up! PENNZOIL is made from NATURAL GAS and NOT CRUDE OIL! It CLEANS the MUCK out As you DRIVE and is THE oil used by FERRARI! >>>IF YOU WANT TO TRASH OUT your CAM adjusters, use that THICK OIL to RUIN everything under your hood! WHY would you want TRUCK OIL In a Honda VTEC??? WHAT ISSUES are you REALLY having here! OIL LOSS can be caused by BAD AIR FUEL mixture, where running TOO RICH allows GAS to get into the oil and then BURNING IT! CLEAN your THROTTLE BODY< IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE and run AMSOIL POWER FOAM through your PCV system! This clean s the RINGS LIKE NEW showroom clean and REMVOES years of BAD OIL tar on PISTON RINGS! >>>REALLY?>>>>

Tat's a sure way to ruin the cam advance actuators! Only use the eight oil that's listed on the oil filler cap or recommended in your owners manual.

Yes!  Just pull your motor (plus, buy about 15 spares) and bring it to a machinist/engineer and tell them that you want to use thicker oil.  Have them reverse engineer it.  May cost a couple hundred grand, but if you find the right person, they can probably do it.

You can use whatever you want. Smart people use the recommended viscosity. You asking the question leads me to believe you aren't in that category
