What is the ultimate sculpture?

I feel like there is a huge eastern western divide with this question but what is the ultimate sculpture? Is it the David or like something in the Hagia Sophia? Is it the Statue of Liberty? What do you think the ultimate sculpture is (on earth)?

This was made from a solid piece of marble and nobody knows how the detail was done. Note that the netting is double layered.

I feel something like a giant sequoia tree. Always changing, thousands of years old. Gigantic, impressive, vulnerable.

If you see David in a book you might say, "Oh, that's a nice sculpture". I have stood in it's presence twice now. I describe the atmosphere as "a hushed silence" because the viewers all know in their hearts that they are in the presence of greatness.

IMHO it is the greatest single work of art, of any kind, on Earth.

Does size matter? Never mind the quality feel the width.... it’s too subjective of a question. But as we’re here to answer questions.  In terms of traditional carving - Rodin.  More modern conceptual site specific work, I thought Anish Kapoor’s MARSYAS at Tate Modern 2003 was pretty amazing.  The engineering that went into that, plus it looked spectacular.
