Did your parents whip you to try and control your behavior when you were younger? Do you think it helped?

Update:

I think it made things worse as it was like walking on eggshells when I was young as she go crazy over anything as if I was in the military at age 6.

    Those are moments that you never forget. I blame them for leaving me with those childhood memories.

    My parents didn't give a rat sass about me.   Luckily I was able to manage myself decently.
