Do women get along at parties? As many women I know pretend to get along but later complain about things said and clothing worn!?

Yes, most women won't do things at a party to ruin the mood. There are women who always have something catty to say about other women when out of their earshot, that's nothing new. 

Trivial minds discuss trivia. We give our hearts and minds over to what we think is important and a year it won't have made any difference. Oh it's full of sound and fury but in the end it signifies nothing.

Incoming freshmen at the university have heard of 9/11 but they weren't even born yet and it means nothing to them any more than the Teapot Dome Scandal.

Petty women will always backbite each other. Substantial women usually will not. So choose wisely.

Women aren't guys, and it took me quite a while to realize what that means in its entirety. Most women are quite sensitive to critical remarks, slights, implied criticism, and rudeness (however the individual interprets that). Women do pay more attention to clothing, something I used to think is petty, until I learned a few things. Women invented clothing, they invented sewing, possibly weaving as well, and most likely invented fashion. Women's valuation of clothing simply has to be accepted.

I noticed that in high school. I didnt like it. As soon as one girl left the group they would all ***** about them. Why would you do that to a friend. Made me wonder what they said behind my back. I find most adult women dont do this, they grow out of it.
