    I’m sure the rules don’t apply if the roller coaster is inside a theme park that also has water rides that allow you to take your shoes off and put them in a locker. Footwear is probably required if it’s a theme park without water rides or any chance to soil or wet your clothing.

    For the most part, no. There are some exceptions but most require footwear.

    yes. many have ridden without shoes. its better tho not wear them than have them become a missile that could hurt someone.

    I’m sure there’s some amusement park somewhere that doesn’t care. The reputable ones won’t let you.

    No. But I once did lose my shoe on a roller coaster called "Batman: The Ride" Luckily, when I got down to the exit, some guy was kind enough to get it for me and hand it to me so I didn't have to walk around with only one shoe.
