Registering to vote in the Boris Johnson election?

I live abroad at the moment and I am registering on line in order to vote in the next election.  My problem is that I am in a country with a very primitive postal system and a letter from England or TO England from here takes over three weeks to arrive.  Is there a way to vote actually online ?... otherwise I will not be able to vote and would find that unbearable.  Please inform and thank you.

No.  There is no online voting as it isn't safe.

You should have registered earlier and you could have done that at any time.  You must do so with the council where you last lived in the UK.  If you have registered before, then you should be still on the register and have no need to do it again.

Then the only ways to vote without being in the UK are postally, or by proxy.  If you know someone in the constituency where you used to live and trust them to vote the way you tell them, you can appoint them as your proxy and they can vote for you.

Unfortunately not. It opens up too many risks as so much sensitive data would be moving through the internet and the internet is not exactly the safest place.

If you have anyone in the UK that's a close relative, they can actually vote for you if you mail in the respective paperwork beforehand. I'm not sure if it works while you're living abroad, but you can always read up and try.
