It is very rare of a lightning strike to cause any problems to a aircraft.

Lightning can cause a plane to have a bad accident, but it usually only causes minor damage, if even that, to modern airliners.

No. It won't CRASH until it reaches the ground. BUT a lightning strike CAN cause sufficient damage to make an airplane uncontrollable or lose power so it can't fly.

It has happened, but very rarely does lightning strikes on a plane cause any problems.

Lightning often strikes aircraft, in some rare cases causing some minor damage, but incredibly rare for a catastrophic failure or even any injury.
