Have any of the living members of the British royal family ever disappointed you with their actions, decisions, behaviour?

If so, which of the royals was it and what did they do to disappoint you? Also, do you think the royal family should be positive role models for the nation, or do the majority of the public give little thought to the royals at all?

No, I am not personally offended by any Royals.

Like members of one's family, they are not perfect but I am fond of them.

I like the system of Constitutional Monarchy. It is very stable regardless of any imperfections in personalities.

Mostly, I am entertained by our Royal Family and proud of what they represent.

The works done and charities supported far outway any negativity.

Princess Margaret was a bit of a slapper yet she expected the usual obsequiousness from her friends that wasn't due

They are human beings, not supernatural creatures. Anyone who's "disappointed" in them has a rather unrealistic conception of royalty, straight out of a children's book apparently.

I have to say that although I did have sympathy for Prince Philip re his recent accident, when I heard he was, allegedly, driving on the public highway immediately afterwards without his seat belt on, that's where he lost me. That was just plain stupid, even if he's lost the will to live any longer now!! His apparent disregard for others is astonishing. As for the rest, it's all rumour and heresay so I can't comment on what they do, or don't do that might disappoint. I suppose that means as it doesn't involve me, I really don't care.

There is no obligation for the Royal Family to be an example to anyone.

So with no expectations that they are different from anyone else in that regard,

only a fool would have reason to be disappointed.
