Is the dog involved a large or small dog?

Because small dogs tend to mature earlier at around 10 to 12 months opposed to a large dog that matures in most large breeds between the age of 18 months and 2 yrs. so if its a small dog the change is overdue.... If a larger dog it remains a puppy So is still growing therefore needs the extra nutrients and vitamins and elements contained in puppy food. So the change in a larger dog should not take place before the age of 17 to 18 months..

    Yes, asap.

All my GSD pups over the years were on adult food by 6 months old.

There is not much difference between adult food and junior and puppy food.

Its all just a sales gimmick to brain wash dog owners to buy what they "think" is best for their dog.

IN days gone by ALL dogs and pups were fed on the same food, (usually a biscuit meal and a can of dog meat or off cuts of meat from the local butchers shop), with no problems. In fact dogs suffered far less allergies and food related problems 35 years ago, than they do today. They developed just as strong and lived just as long, if not longer than dogs do today.

Yes at this age they are consitered aduts. And you should get the size your dog is formula. Like my 5 year old chihuahua mix has a small breed formula dog food
