This the prime example of what I recommend when purchasing a camera. I use to sell binoculars. Not in the league of Nikon, the Swift brand. I noticed that turning the bino upside down and viewing the resulting circle of light in the lens (I do not remember what this is called, I sold binos 50 yrs ago!), that the more expensive binocular had a clear circle of light, whereas the cheaper ones had some "shading" in this circle. The result as I saw it, was that the clearer the circle the better the quality. I am of course these binoculars are "prismed" not mirrored binoculars.

    Hope I have helpped.

Neither! Carl Zeiss or Leica are better; but perhaps a bit dearer.
