penny experts?

I have a 1945 wheat penny that is not round like normal pennies but is cut like a hexagon. Is this a known flaw from this era or at any time that could make it valuable? Was this probably done by a jokester? What says you? Thanks.

Jokester or not, it was done intentionally after it got into circulation. It's damaged, but in such a way that collector of novelties might be interested in it. Probably wouldn't pay a lot, it depends on how nicely or poorly it was done.
