Many issues can cause an Android phone draining battery.

1 - If you don't need WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth on regular basis, keep them switch off.

2- You can keep the phone in Airplane mode in area where network isn't available.

3- Over bright screen consumes huge battery power. Decrease it to 30 percent to enough save battery.

4-Darker wallpaper consumes less power and don't use live or animated wallpaper.

5-Modify notifications that you don't need.

6-If you don't need regular data connectivity, disable it. Disabling is will twice the power in battery.

After awhile your battery can't hold a charger like it used to anymore. The only thing to do is get a new one.
