Change screen resolution to 1366 * 768 ?

my maximum screen reslution is 1366 * 768. i earlier had graphic card but it malfunctioned now i am running it without grphic card and it has set 1024 * 724 as screen resolution and i cant change it .

i have windows 8 , 2gb ram , 256 mb internal graphics , dual core pentium processor

    It sounds like you are using the on board video on your computer's mother board. You might be able to get a higher resolution if you update the driver for the mother board's on board video. But it is possible that the mother board's manufacturer has not released an updated driver for Windows 8. I would try going to the mother board manufacturer's website to see if you can get an updated driver for it. If you can not get an updated driver that supports that resolution your only option is to replace the video card. If you have to replace the video card, you might want to check out newegg.com. You should be able to get a cheap video card for $25-$30. Just make sure it has drivers for Windows 8.

    I ran into this problem. I just updated the drivers for the on-board graphics and it allowed me to select the correct resolution

    your onboard graphics can only support maximum upto 1024x768 resolution

    you should consider buying a graphics card
