Can you get a restraining order for someone harrassing you online?
Yeah.. Its gotten that bad *sigh.
I'd like to point out that I wish it were as easy as me blocking them or something but they have things on me, know things about me, pictures etc (nothing vulgar) but regardless I don't think I'd want anyone to know a lot of those things about me, or to have pictures of me online which I did not put up myself.
This person will not leave me alone, and I'm scared and frustrated. I've tried everything.. From being nice to being outright mean. And yet they just keep at it. I don't want to anger them by blocking them, but they keep threatening me. I'm not sure what I can do about it.
Err. Just saw a question similar to my own a few questions down. Just saying, I'm not 15, well into my 20's. This is more like a creepy ex bf or something. Not in the same country let alone the same continent. I'm pretty sure he's a total psychopath at this point.
Jin, I've tried. And they haven't. He's obsessed with me. And will not let me be. Its been months, almost 7-8 since this started happening. Prior to that we were friends.

You can but it will be difficult
Your best bet is to ignore them they will eventually get bored
Edit
Oh the friend zoned puppy syndrome
I would first give him a final warning as a friend then let him know you will have to file legal action
If you cant afford a attorney they offer special programs at your local court for low cost or free depending on your income
If you know any of his/your friends see if they can help talk some sense into him do not get them too involved in drama
Your going to have take a nice break I recommend getting a massage and relax
Think positive at least he find you irresistible ( Lol humor helps diffuse stress )

We have a problem with someone bothering us online. Even to the point of phoning me and my friend and threatening us. We have blocked them on both our phones and facebook. But they continue to haunt us. My friends old FB account has been deactivated a week ago. But mysteriously its been active again. This person admitted to being a hacker. What do we do. We want to get a restraining order, but we are on a fixed income from AISH. Please help. This person threatened my friend this morning saying she was going to slit her throat.
