Does a PS3 superslim need a UPS in case of power cuts?

I'm going to buy a PS3 superslim 500gb & i want to know whether a UPS is neccesary for this? There are a lot of frequent power cuts where I live but will a power cut really cause damage to PS3..i always connect all my electronics to a voltage stabililizer,so is this enough to provide protection for PS3 or should i buy a UPS? As i use my PS2 like this & it still works flawlessly!

So I would like guys from India to answer for this question.

    do what you have been doing with your other game systems. same for all sensitive electronics
