What does it mean when you know the conversation is dying?

We must be in the same boat minty, that is exactly where I am at. sigh. I think if both of you are still talking no harm can come out of it. Just keep talking with him and let him stop if he does. Unless you guys are really talking about nothing. That would just be a waste of time. If he is still talking he obviously has interest in you. Maybe just be friends? I don't know if this helps let me know if you want more advice. :)

If I want to talk I ask about my friends interests. If we have a similar interest or even if I used to like it I can talk about my experience and then they can too. I will not talk about only my interests and it is ok to have a pause. During a pause the one who was not trying to think of what to talk might think of something without trying hard. If you are tired of talking just say you are going to be too busy for a while to check email .
