Would we have any Indian deposit in Swiss banks by the time Govt decides to ACT to bring them ?

According to news, the deposits by Indians in the tax havens in Swiss had greatly reduced already. Then why are Mr Chidambaram and Dr Clean waiting to ACT to bring what little booties are still left by our men there? Would there be anything left by the time Govt acts on its pretty old promise (on election eve..)?!

Please share your views.

Update:

Moni beta (I think you are a young boy going by your innocence in expression, not just the Avtar!) Mr PC is the one who brought the pernicious Participatory Notes for letting foreign money to fllow inside the country that helped not just the black wealth holder but the terrorists also, according to many like Tamilnadu CM who asked PC to withdraw the facility long ago, but not conceded by the lawyer politician! He and PM know that their colleagues in politiics and corporate business/ industry are the major investors in tax havens. i just mentioned Swiss becos the news item was about the state of deposits there! have a grt day!

Update 2:

Captain UPA govt would BRING ANY LAW to fool the public. Why then they have eminent lawyers like PC and Sibal in the ministerial team. Lawyers and auditors are the worst counsels of Corporates and Govt in general (precious few who stand for principles would meet the fate of UP MLA that Master Mind narrates here!)

Well meaning Laws already in the books are rarely enforced sincerely. Rather they are misused often for purposes contrary to the guiding principles. There is an old saying "if ghosts rule the territory, the Angels of Trutha and Righteous would eat corpses.." (pure things would defill themselves in shame!) The Tamil saying is slightly edited for sake of easy communication.

have a grt day sir!

Update 3:

Master Mind, there is a figurative saying: One can not be friend to the cats and guard the milk as well. he would ve to wink at the milk thieves. That is the state of politician. He wants the help of the rich merchants, industry and service folk for his party coffers and also administer the State / serve common people, who are just voters and no fund raisers! So a pretence of 'serving people'!

Update 4:

Dr Swamy, ha ha ha! well said!

Banks in Switzerland is not the only place. The devils have stashed their Booty in Hong Kong also ! The Ravans are very witty which MaunMohan or PC can't beat or touch. India is ruled by Money power and USA.

Edit: When I complained to Kapil Sibal about Reliance, no answer from Him. Even Govt. dept. which have to investigate were silent. But from inner source i knew that all ministers are in their pay-roll and the Black-money is continuously being transferred to Hong-Kong Banks now !

Non-governance, populist, charismatic trance and moneyed electoral system is keeping them alive.

Lack of political will is ironically the innate trait of every politician in India. The govt, nay the opposition, say all the political players have secretly connived to not let the Swiss deposits issue gain considerable mileage which would obviously prove detrimental to their personal interests.

Having realized that stashing Black Money in tax havens especially Switzerland is no longer the safest option( the issue could be raised by media/social players at any point), the parties have asked their members to find alternate locations/measures to hide their illicit wealth.

Apart from the emerging hot spots, the liquidity is converted into apparently legitimate assets like real estate (purchased under the names of proxy owners at throwaway prices due to political privilege), education institutions (levying heavy fees) etc etc. Therefore to ask whether govt promise to act would ever materialize would be inconsequential. Black money shall continue to plague the economy.

Which reminds of the news report that I just saw. An aged UP ex MLA died because of lack of money. He could not afford the medical expenses and died on the floor of a govt hospital. The sitting MLA of the same constituency owns a pvt helicopter. Such are the disparities that exist between 2 people who work(ed) for the same institution, on the same post. If this is the case with members of assembly, one can imagine the plight of a BPL Indian.

Along with chocolate Switzerland is synonymous with secrecy. A Mecca for manytax evaders and black money holder especially for pliticians and bureaucrats from india . According to one of the Swiss bank directors that nearly 280 lacs crore is deposited from India and he further says that " Indians are poor but INDIA is not a poor country " the new deposits in swiss banks from India may reduced .what about the deposits already existed? None of the government is willing to bring back the money to India. They may not act or Enact severe laws in the real NATIONAL INTEREST. GOD SAVE OUR COUNTRY.

Poondiji, a lot of black money is hiding in the pillow covers in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh. This foreign money is only a diversionary trick to distract the attention of the Indian people from the actual thing.

You know it. Ask Baba Ramdev. He also knows the truth.

You all are really smart people in India.
