What is cloud bursting ?
I have heard about cloud bursting due to which Uttrakhand disaster caused. I want to know exact phenomenon that what happens during this process and why this is named as cloud bursting and the reasons thereof

Its a phenomena in which a large amount of water is suddenly poured down by clouds, this usually happens in hilly areas because the cloud carrying a lot of water hits a hill, it suddenly releases all its water at once.
The destruction is so severe in those areas because a huge amount of water comes down suddenly with force destroying every thing in course.

Drizzle,shower,down pour,storm,thunder storm, CLOUD BURST.
The clouds gets over cooling by air and zero percent tolerance and burst itself and water falls like water falls from clouds.

An extreme amount of rain which normally lasts few minutes but is able to create flood condition

Basically..When it rains, its like you have a dropper full of water... you can only pour one drop at a time...but...In a cloud burst...its like you empty a jug full of water all at once...
