    A simple example for you.

Apple iPhone is typcially about 1.2 Mb (take with a 3 megapixel camera).

If you have a photo of less than 1.0 Mb, (i.e. anything from 1 to 999Kb), the quality is basically s**t and not worth sharing.

A good, ordinary camera, should save at least 3.0Mb in JPEG form. (This means, it's like a 'zip' file, saving you space).

A really good photo, in RAW, form would be at least 12Mb. (RAW meaning that none of the dots in the picture have been changed).

    1,000Kb = 1Mb. (Megabyte)

My name = carol That is 5 bytes.

My address is about 300 bytes.

My Resume is about 45,000 bytes (4.5k)

    My Avatar is about 10kb

    A book is about 100-500Kb.

    A song is about 3-5Mb

    A video is about 750Mb

    A HD video is about 1.5 Gb (1,000Mb = 1 Gb)

The ability of the camera determines the size, for the same photograph, that it is able to capture by way of information....

    xx

Gosh, I'm even sorry reading this that I made it so technical! I know you know what I mean!

It depends on the resolution of the image.
