    It means the one you've got in your hands is guaranteed...you've already got it in your hands. The two in the bush haven't been caught yet. Which is better, one you've actually got or two you *might* get?

    The basic message is sometimes its best to be happy with what you have instead of pushing your luck and trying for more that you might not end up getting.
