    hi nishant

when installing windows (all versions ) you will first be gretted with the "press any key to boot from dvd" message and directly after that you will see two options which are :

    1) windows setup ( ems enabled )

    2) x64 recovery mode ( ems enabled )

you should allways select the top option for a standard windows 7 installation, however the x64 recovery mode is as the name indicates .. its a recovery tool for recovering from a corrupted version of windows ... however dont touch this at this moment

another scenario were two boot options would appear is when your system is "dual booted".. and this is when you have two different versions of windows loaded on the same pc..... select the operating system you want and windows will load this version of windows ( note : when dual booting the older of the windows versions should allways be installed first,so for example you would have 2 x hard drives or 2 x partitions and then install the older of the windows versions on the first partition or drive.... then you would install the second version of windows on the second drive or partition ( using custom installation during set up )

for now though i would install windows 7 as per normal... in summary as soon as you have pressed any key to boot from dvd/cd select the top option ( windows setup {ems enabled} ) and then follow the instructions during installation

i hope this helps nishant.. any questions let me know

    good luck mate !
