Chronic Ear Piercing Infections?

I got my ears pierced at Claire's (not my choice; my foster mom had me get it done where it was cheap and "classier than a tattoo parlor") maybe 5 years ago.

Every time I put in ear rings, I end up getting pus and swelling the next day if not a few hours later.

I soak the ear rings in rubbing alcohol for a while beforehand (sometimes over-night) and clean off my ears with rubbing alcohol right before I put them in and they still get infected.

Any suggestions? Thank you!

You might have a nickle sensitivity. Your earlobes could be reacting to the metal in your earrings; I doubt very much that it has anything to do with where you got pierced. A lot of women-and men have this issue. Try looking for "sensitive ears" type earrings- but be aware that even those may be irritating. My daughter, sisters and I can wear only gold or silver jewelry.
