Do the least pleasant tasks first. While fresh you can sizzle with the highest powers of concentration at your disposal. "Do the most critical understandings and deep background concepts early", before moving on to easier (less challenging) but necessary grinding out of details. If you do the easier tasks first, you will be thinking about/and "stressing-nerves" on the harder ones, the whole time, and feel more tempted to avoid them once you do reach them

Avoid bogging down when reading, or getting stuck and defeated on difficult problems or essay questions. Sometimes the least desirable part of an assignment may be too time consuming: it could drain/kill all your available time. So try to limit your time and self-supervise to move on to easier matters

    .

Preview to help focus and know what the material is about:

Scan over/through each chapter to study (as assigned or that you want) by reading for keywords, definitions and headings,

Read a little on each page and overview the topic.

View pictures; read captions, maps, charts, bold face wording.

Read chapter questions and the footnotes and endnotes.

Read the summary, or the intro and conclusion.

Read the material more closely after the previewing. Re-read parts that you zoned or spaced out on -- as if it didn't make sense or your mind had drifted.

Have an objectives list. Write out a list of everything you need to accomplish and to learn. Check each item off as you finish it.

The "5 More" rule. Tell yourself to do only five more things before quitting. Once you've finished those, do another five. Breaking tasks up into smaller chunks makes things easier for those with shorter concentration spans

    .

Reward yourself. Offer yourself incentives once you've completed a study task. This will improve your motivation and therefore your concentration.

This is a very common problem with the students. Even I was very fond of studying 2 years back when I had an entrance exam. I even scored really well that time. But after that I slowly got away from studies and got engaged with other stuffs. After a couple of months, I realized another big exam was heading. Then I decided to study again. Meanwhile I even lost my concentration, but decided trying out new techniques of studying. And it worked with me. The best thing is that those new techniques made me also get involved in some other things. So I suggest you to try new techniques.

Be a active learner. Create study questions that you can answer as you go along. Work in chunks don't over load your short term memory. Create weekly schedules that have set study blocks no more than 2 hrs at a time. Make yourself a reward system but only take that reward if you accomplished your goal. Turn your phone or tv off. Make study guides as you go along. Scan what your going to read about before you do it so there wont be any surprises

What you do is go study for a couple of hours, take a break every 2 hours for about half an hour. Do whatever for half an hour to relax, but do not relax more than half an hour. Get back to your studies for another 2 hours, and then relax again, maybe take a nap, watch a sitcom, play a game, do whatever but limit yourself, and go on and on. That way it will be easier I hope.

nicely Sanjana, that's a dull ringer for the dependancy we make in the route of television, cellular, video games etc., that's that you began utilising YA on your holiday and also you're waiting to attend your education in college, correct. do not concern, once you initiate attending your education, you should slowly come out of this dependancy, i allow you to already know. If this is demanding even then, only turn your interest in the route of different stuff, say, television for some time. i'd recommend to spotlight study. i'd attempt this in any case. And that does no longer be the answer to conquer of this dependancy. Divert your interest in the route of a few thing else. examine!! that ought to help. communicate such as your friends! besides once you gotta bypass to school and once you're busy such as your study, you should come out of this dependancy, i wager. some thing for that commemorate, in case you take advantage of it plenty, ultimately you should lose interest:-) do not concern, divert your self by technique of doing some thing else.

the best solution is to make your mind selfish

for the beginning it will be harder but as it goes on you will be get used.

write equations and derivations instead of reading...try it faster as u can it will give some josh

if something else comes to your mind just think where can i use this equation in my life....or something like that ....to make sure that u stay on ur topic gd luck............ :)
