You are getting some answers that are incorrect and misleading.

Right now, in 2012 that is, the best gaming CPU is generally agreed upon to be the Intel i5 3570k. It is the successor to last generations i5 2500k. I would ignore AMD altogether. They just don't have anything really appealing at this time.

If you are wanting a pre-built system, then you will likely only find a i5 3570 (non k version) with the exception of the new HPE Phoenix rig, and Alienware/Dell who do sell the "k" unlocked versions (although they are not fully 100% unlocked). Between these two the HP Phoenix is the way to go, because Alienware is really-really overpriced. I just cant recommend spending $3000 on a rig which I could build myself for around $1500 (81668 Rs.).

If you want a little more power overall, then you can go for a i7 3770, but that will not give you any more juice in gaming. Only with other tasks (but its a great CPU).

The problem is your budget. If you are trying to get a good gaming desktop for 20000 Rs., well that's just not possible. That's less than $400 U.S. It can't be done. A good graphics card (which will make or break a gaming rig) can easily top half of your budget.

It sounds like you need to save for a while longer until you get into the 49000 Rs. range. Then it's workable.

Now if you are talking about 20000 Rs. for only the processor, then you can almost afford a i7 3930k. Its a fantastically fast processor, but again, the graphics card is going to make the difference in your system, not the CPU.

    A i5 3570k with a GTX 680 will keep pace with a i7 3930k with a GTX 680, in every game. A $500 processor is overkill for a gaming rig.

ok properly i will 're-allow you to recognize' of the characteristics of an AMD and an Intel CPU. AMD CPU: An AMD CPU is clocked at a decrease cost than the Intel CPU subsequently the cpu is better probable to very last more. in case your progression the device your self i ought to get an AMD cpu because they have an prolonged assure through actual undeniable truth that they very last more than an Intel CPU. (I purely further a clean pc my self for gaming, properly equipped it and that i went with AMD Athon sixty 4 5600 x2 and that has served me somewhat properly). the very truth of the count number right it really is in case you do purchase a triple center AMD you've to get a intense end one, purely getting a a million.8ghz x3 is unnecessary for gaming. thinking the truth that video games at there modern-day state in effortless words have the means to harness in effortless words 2 cores so in case you probably did purchase a triple you wouldent be utilising it to its finished volume. if you're lifeless set on an AMD CPU i ought to deffinatly elect an 'Athlon 64x2 6000+' or larger contained in the twin center. properly a minimum of until eventually they develop the technologies to harness 3 cores specializing in a unmarried application. on the different hand Intel are a ok widely used kind alot of folk say that they are the 'new' gaming CPU's and they have now taken over AMD because the 'gaming CPU' per chance contained in the Quad center on the prompt. placed it this way both one you get it wont extremely make that a lot massive difference performance smart in case you go into the twin center area, yet on the prompt in case you had to flow Quad Intel should be the thanks to flow. yet with a funds like yours i ought to probebly settle for Athlon 64x2 6000+ with a fabulous photos card to sit on the area of it. ^.^

    Answer to your question :

If you have budget of 20,000 Rs for only processor then go for

Intel 3.4 GHz LGA 1155 Core i7 3770 Processor it cost 19,000 Rs just for processor

it's core i7 good for gaming , video editing etc. very powerful

for average home user you should go with core i3 , its enough for you

my advice would be go with intel i3 3220 , sufficient for you

and invest in better graphics card for gaming and multimedia !

Confusion in your meaning of CPU !!!(Processor or Cabinet ?)

You mean an entire computer, not just the CPU dipshit.

To answer your question. Buy and i5 3570K. They run very cool, and have a bit of overclock potential. Also very cheap.

If you're looking at a processor, you need to compare its clock speed and the number of cores and other technologies it boasts like hyper threading.

When buying a computer, compare ram, the graphics card memory and processor and price and go for the one with the highest numbers that fits your budget.
