How does this name sound to you?

Just wondering. Came across the name Delilah and I think it's really pretty and unique! But it does have a bad Biblical meaning. So looking for opinions on that name :) again I'm just wondering..not pregnant. Thank you. :)

I think it partly depends on what the bible means to you personally.

I'm not religious, so the bible reference doesn't bother me at all and I think its a lovely name.

However, someone with strong religious beliefs may dislike the name because of that, so obviously they wouldn't use it.

Personally I think its beautiful. I also like Dahlia (after the flower), which could be a good alternative for someone who didn't like the religious description of Delilah.

I really have always loved the sound of it. It's so gorgeous and feminine! However, I have never been able to completely get over the negative Biblical connotation. The Delilah in the Bible was pretty conniving and a backstabber haha. It also means 'seductress' or something like that haha, so I'm not sure I'd give my daughter that name. It's really pretty though.
