GTA 4 patch question!!!?
I have the original GTA 4 version for PC. Since it always required the CD to be in the tray and my CD drive isn't working I downloaded the Razor1911 crack and replaced my files. But the game started showing some lag so I downloaded the patch 1.0.4.0 . But when I try to install this patch it gives an error saying Rockstar games social club not found and I have already downloaded and installed the RGSC.exe in my C drive. I tried executing the patch from this same folder (the one containing the RGSC.exe) but the same bloody message keeps popping up and really want to replay the game without any lag and I can't reinstall it due to my nonfunctional CD drive please help. I watched numrous videos on youtube but none of them are fixing my lag problem. Please help me install the patch or atleast help me reduce lag.!!!!
I have tried playing it at the lowest resolution and my specs are i3 540, 4GB RAM, geforce 210 1gb. I know it isn't my graphic card since it ran the game fine before I installed the crack. PLEASE HELP!!!!
@ The Murk! It still shows the same message of RGSC.exe not found and my CD drive ain't working.

yep. its cuz of the crack. its not the original .exe so it dont "see it". replace it with the original and then install the patch. u may have to re-install to get the original files.

Replace the installed crack with original exe, and then patch your game again..it should work
