    Fortunately, there are no cats in my neighborhood. I think I would be up all night waiting in fear unable to sleep.

    I'd a pair of socks and a glass then I'd put each such on one ear the I'd put the glass on my nose and open my window and say : woof woof woof woof woof until the cats stop crying. That's what Mr. Bean does :D

    just ignore it and go to sleep it happens a lot where i live most likely it's mating season
