I was wondering...What coin should I use for my next clock?

I'm trying to think of a coin for a new clock that would appeal to a LOT of people. What coin should I should I use next? Country, denomination and year, please. I need some inspiration!

The one I have pictured there in my profile picture is a 2006 Reverse Proof Silver Eagle. (U.S. bullion)

Update:

I just put this together, Erik, and I have to agree with you! This turned out NICE! Thank you for your suggestion! See it here, ticking LIVE and correct to YOUR time zone! http://coin.fileave.com/BARBER%20FLASH.swf

Anyone else have an inspiration for me? This is good!

1900 US barber half dollar would be cool.
