It's in the OED.

allopathy, noun
‘The curing of a diseased action by the inducing of another of a different kind, yet not necessarily diseased.’ New Sydenham Soc. Lexicon. A term applied by homœopathists to the ordinary or traditional medical practice, and to a certain extent in common use to distinguish it from homœopathy.

It's not actually that common; it's mostly used by fans of homœopathy as a pejorative term for real medicine. As a niche term, it won't tend to be in smaller dictionaries.

Most of the words having subtle meanings are found in Medical, Encyclopedia, Wikipedia, Hutchinson.
It is not a common word. It relates to treatment of diseases.
