puchasing a cessna............?

hello there,im planning to buy a cessna 172 from united states.im from malaysia.Did i have to pay tax if i bring the cessna to malaysia by cargo??or can i fly it from united states to malaysia??i can refeul in other country.......

    There are ferry pilots that fly anything anywhere. I would try to find one unless you are a really good pilot. Check the cost of shipping versus the cost of flying to decide which would be better. My guess is there is some sort of import tax involved, but that will be up to the local government.

    I dont know how you would ship a Cessna but if you're gonna fly it get the long range tanks any fly the plane over the north Atlantic (land in New York, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Scotland to refuel) then fly into Europe into Asia. It will take you a few days maybe even weeks but if you're willing go for it! you will need a sh*tload of safety equipment thou!! Good Luck!

    YOu would have to check your countries import laws and I would think that 75gal standard tanks on a 172 might be a bit small for the range you are going to need.
