For Gaming, most of your Performance comes from a Graphics Card not the CPU.Graphics card almost counts for 70-75% of your gaming performance.having a Core i7 or core i5 processor won't help you if you don't have a good graphics card to pair with it.lets see what you get with that budget.
Actually I recommend waiting for a bit and going with latest intel sandy bridge processors(new intel Core i3,i5,i7 Lineup) they are much faster than their predecessors for both gaming and multimedia stuff plus at the same price point.for Example.latest Core i3 2100 beats the i3 530 for gaming at same price point.see here.

you will be more futureproof by going with them since you will have better upgrade options in the future.otherwise this configuration is still good.
Processor-Intel Core i3 530 for Rs.5000.this is a great budget gaming processor.it will easily handle most games on HIGH settings once paired with a good Graphics Card.
Motherboard-Asus P7H55-M LX motherboard for Rs.4000.
RAM-Corsair 4 GB DDR3 1600 MHZ for Rs.2500.
Cabinet-Cooler Master Elite 310 for Rs.1500.
Monitor-any 20 inch LED monitor will cost around RS.6500.
DVD Writer-Rs.1000.
Hard Disk-Upto you.500 GB will cost around Rs.1800 and 1 TB for RS.2800.
Keyboard-mouse-Rs.600.
Power Supply-a good quality power Supply of 500 watts from Corsair, antec or silverstone will cost around RS.3000.don't be cheap with power Supplies at any cost.it is not a good idea to save money in that area.
Graphics Card-Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1 GB GDDR5 for RS.8000.can handle most games on 1680x1050 and some on 1920x1080 and max graphical settings.it is faster than similarly price Nvidia Geforce GTS 450.Nvidia really don't have a good competitive product at this price point.
Total Cost- Rs.33000 to Rs.34000.
with this setup, you can handle most games on 1680x1050 and maximum graphical settings.it is a decent machine for gaming purpose.
Good Luck!
