selection of power supply unit?
i am planning to buy a pc and here are my configurations
intel c2d 2.53ghz processor
asus p5gcmx/gbl motherboard
seagate 250gb hdd
nvidia geforce 8600gt 512mb graphic card
2gb ddr2 ram
viewsonic 17 inch lcd monitor
sony dvd writer
but i have a problem on selecting the right psu and watts required
can anyone help me

An E6700 (2.66Ghz) with an overclocked 8600GT won't use anymore than 300W at full load.

His motherboard has no AGP slots. One PCIe x16, One PCIe x1, and two standard PCI slots.

550-600w should be fine, get a little more for upgradability. get better vga card too, there are much better cards for minimal price increase.

seasonic psu is the best, Corsair PSUs are very good and quiet ,cooler master psu are some what okay...
500watts XXX BRAND < 300 watts GOOD BRAND psu.....
