how would I produce this on a stats calculator.

Well, assuming you can find a calculator which will handle such large numbers :

. . 317! x 365^47
Actually, I have just discovered that the Windows/Accessories/Calculator happily accepts such numbers. It gives a result of 0.039402..... (and about 20 other figures.)
