My washing machine has broken down, ceased working, turns no more...?

It is a Bosch Logixx 8 front loading machine. There is rapid beating and the error code F18 signals indication of what my be wrong.

The house is under renovation, I cannot find the manual. Does anyone know what F18 erro code means, and why my machine is no longer operating.

Thankyou so much for your assistance in this urgent and pressing{once clothes are washed}matter

Update:

There are online web help sites but they all demand money{bills to pay and all that, who can blame them} and I am slightly broke.

Are there any online free advisors for Bosch washing machine faults and repairs...?

Thankyou so much..

Update 2:

It has a load of jeans in there, but I dont think its overloaded, although the fan belt may possibly have broken.

There is a website of local repairers and maintenance men, I cant remember what its called.

Update 3:

Thankyou Annie, it was just the filter located at the bottom of the machine that needed opening, emptying and clearing.

Its working again and I will remember not to overload the machine, although this is difficult as it is a large family size model, and quite a good efficient machine.

Phew problem solved.

this is do with the washing machine not releasing the water in the tank in a specified time.

Flip open the service flap on the bottom right of the machine. then take the black rubber hose and and remove the cap and drain it. then open the bigger screw cap anticlockwise, and remove it,

Beware there could be some water so have some rags with you. next is to clean the filter and have a look inside to see if there is any obstructions, and remove them.

Replace everything and it should be good.

I'm not familiar with that particular brand, but generally when the barrel stops spinning it's because the belt that turns the drum is either loose or broken. That happens a lot, especially if you put really big loads in the washer.
