ps3 connecting to internet?
i just had a password enabled on the router. it has a wpa-psk (tkip) not a WEP. the password works fine for my laptop and i have internet, but when i set my ps3 up to this (which has a new SSID name) and try to connect it, it doesnt work. it says 'checking network configuration' and then will say 'failed, connection timed out' when searching for an IP address. how do i get my ps3 back online?

I had the exact same problem and ended up switching back to wep.

throw it out the window because even tho the internet is free it sucks. pay the 50$ a year for XBL and see what a good server feels like
