I've never had heavy acne but I do break out ever so often. I made the mistake of trying to fight it with harsh cleansers containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. It ended up drying out my skin and making it worse. Unless you have EXTREMELY oily skin I would not recommend using such products. Alot of people think that oil is the only thing that can clog your pores, but dead skin cells can be just as bad... so stick with a cleanser that doesn't dry out the skin. Cetaphil is a really good cleanser. Also, a moisturizer is just as important as a cleanser. I am currently using Noah's Naturals All Day Moisture with SPF 15. Drinking alot of liquids will also help to clear your skin. A dehydrated person means dehydrated skin. So try to drink about 8 glasses of water (soda doesn't count =P), or if you're like me and are lucky to drink half that, slowly work your way up to it. I know it's tough, but it does work. Food also plays a part in your skin's appearance. Eat more vegetables and fruit rather than sugary or salty foods. (You can still indulge in them, just space it out and eat a serving size.) As for acne scars, there's tons of products out there claiming they help with them, but they never did for me. So you'll have to get someone else's opinion on that one. One last thing, do NOT pick at your face. That doesn't mean you can't pop your zits though. I don't care what anyone else says, not picking them and having white pus in them for everyone to see is just gross (plus mine never seem to go away otherwise or take twice as long), but there is a way to do it. Take a needle and first clean it with alcohol, poke directly in the center, then take two cue tips and gently squeeze until all the pus or core is removed. You can usually tell when it's completely out when it starts bleeding or clear liquid comes out. This is the only time I DO recommend using benzoyl peroxide but ONLY directly on the zit you just popped. Unfortunately, all my acne scars were caused by picking the scabs after using benzoyl peroxide on them, so resist the urge to pick at them. I hope this helps a little. I know how frustrating acne can be. Good luck!

I have very oily, sensitive skin with large pores, and I use Clean and Clear Foaming facial Cleanser (face soap), Clean and Clear deep cleaning astringent (toner), Clean and Clear dual action moisturizer. I suggest using the same brand (of your choosing) for soap, toner, and moisturizer. Your skin is sensitive and if you use multiple brands your face can break out while trying to adapt to the change in chemicals used in each brand. Also if you are thinking about changing brands from your every day brand you may experience small breakout, dry skin, or blotchiness when you first start to use it. This is your skin trying adjust to the changes. give it 2 weeks or so and if you notice that there is no change and you skin is still breaking out and such then you will have to try another brand. I had to go through several brands before I found one that worked.

To get healthy looking skin (all the things you described above) come with cleaning you skin with the right products for you face and keeping it free of oils that are not naturally produced. You should wash your face at least once a day but no more than twice a day. over washing can cause dry skin and irritation not to mention that later in life it cause more wrinkles from all the rubbing and stretching.

Unfortunately this process is all about trial and error since every persons skin is different. Just keep in mind that any creams or make-ups that you want to use on your face should be oil-free. And refrain for wearing cover up and other make-up that are used all over the face. They may say that they don't hurt your skin but anything that is "covering" something up on you face is not good for it. if your att home and you have hair that rests on your face pull it away so your skin has lots of room to breath.

with the proper cleaning and moisturizing your face should be looking better and feeling better in no time

Good luck and i hope all this helped!

When most people get an acne outbreak, they usually purchase a harsh cleanser at the local pharmacy containing either salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This is a major mistake! These over the counter products generally dry the skin to reduce oil and remove bacteria, however, harsh over drying of the skin will cause the body to respond by producing even more oil to combat dryness, creating a vicious cycle. This will often lead to more acne or other skin problems.

I've used Hydroviton CR and love it! I have very sensitive skin and cant use a lot of other products but Hydroviton CR works great!

But you can use Hydroviton CR in the future to prevent any outbreaks. It is a medicated cleanser that contains organic micro-spheres that penetrate to the deepest layers of the skin to deeply moisturize, while at the same time removing toxins, bacteria, and regulating sebum production. It is the ideal cleanser for acne sufferers that provides immediate results.

Try using panoxl wash. They sell it at most drugstores. It has Benzoyl Peroxide in it. Which is good for clearing your skin. It may dry your skin. So use a oil-free moisturizer after you wash your face.

Don't over wash or over use products. Twice a day is all you need. Drink plenty of water. I hope this helps

Anything with a decent amount of tea tree oil in it. You can find products like facial cleaner and moisturizer with it, or you can put pure tea tree oil on you skin. It may smell a little funky and be a bit pricey, but after a few days of use, it will start to to clear up a lot.

Good or bad effect of a product depends on the skin quality and texture. A good product may be not effective on your skin. So I suggest first contact to a dermatologist. He will prescribe to you a good product accordingly. Because skin is very sensitive organ. Don't experiment with your skin.

As I found in my research that Sandalwood is very effective to cure acne or pimple as well as to improve your skin tone.
