What gas is used in a ballon?

I would like to put a very very light and inert gas ( also non polluting )for sky flying. Please name it and also the source / market where I can purchase it - for how much?

What will be the density of this gas at NTP?

Well, for hot air balloons - it's just air, heated up.

For mylar balloons like you get at the grocery store (and also weather balloons), we use helium.
