Does Voting NO on Prop 8 make you a bigot? Or does the attitude just apply to the "YES" crowd?

Definition: bigoted: adjective obstinately convinced of the superiority or correctness of one's own opinions and prejudiced against those who hold different opinions

If you think homosexualty is wrong and should not be made more legitimate, then vote with your conscience. This is a democratic society and the majority's voice will be heard. If gays think you are a bigot for not wanting to destroy the pureness and sanctity of marriage, who cares?

The problem with gays in America and so many other groups is that they feel they have a right to destroy what is wholesome and good in they name of their personal freedoms. Your freedoms for my freedoms, it is ridiculous! Comparing this to voting or slavery is completely idiotic!!! Giving the rights to vote to blacks and women was not taking them from white men. It came about because enough people INCLUDING WHITE MEN, voted to change the Constitution, that made it happen!

Homosexuality marriage is not a right. Marriage between a man and woman is a Holy union before God and sanctified in the Bible and all other religious texts. However, the separation of Church and State was created so that these sort of decisions would not be influenced by religion. So, it is time for a vote to settle it. The majority will rule.

If two gay people, want to have a "legal union"... fine... just don't call it a marriage or do it in a Church because you are making a mockery of that Church and a blasphemy to God.

America is becoming more and more of a moral cesspool and sooner or later we will pay dearly.

Canada4ever444... Here you go again, weighing in on a purely American topic. For those of you who don't know this guy, he hates America and all we stand for and his opinion as you will soon learn, is most often purely based on these facts.

There is a deeper issue with Prop 8. What Obama would do is force the church, against their wishes mind you, to wed gay couples. If they don't, he has said he will take away their tax exemption. If that isn't a threat of using the government to make people change their moral beliefs I don't know what is.

Because no rights are being taken away there is no bigotry involved for the people who say Yes to the prop. There is no guarantee under the U.S. constitution for state governments to create marriage laws.

You could say the "No" people are bigots since homosexuals are against having the law extended to deviant people who support incest. Homosexuals think they are better than people who marry their brothers and sisters.

To FFFF: Next people would be saying beastiality should be protected in the constitution. Should the Constitution guarantee the right to marry a farm animal?

acting like a bigot makes one a bigot.

if one has rational arguments either way, one is not a bigot.

note: "homosexuality is wrong because god says so" is *not* a rational argument, since god cannot be proved, measured, or falsified.

also, even if god does dissaprove of gay marriage, all he ever forbade was gay SEX (see Romans 1) he enver spoke a word about marriage.

(he also said eating lobster was a hellworthy tresspass, go figure )

Bigot ............. a word used by any group to smear those who think differently then they do. Also used to try to strong arm the MAJORITY rule of democracy by spin.

Stop being a crybaby, you and your boyfriend can go get a civil union and have the same exact rights and a married person. You don't have to make a mockery out of the traditional meaning of marriage.
