I have the same problem.windows xp home, desktop keeps reloading, ran all malware, virus, spyware, etc.?

I have tried everything suggested here already, nothing helps.

I ran spybot search and destroy, panda antivirus as well as 3 others.

System restore only goes back to the date and time just after this began happening!

This has ben going on for over a week now!

I have my "D:" drive I am using now, but my original "C:" drive is very important to me, lots of data and programs I cant afford to lose....

Please help if you can...

Thanks in advance!

are you sure you have a genuine version of windows xp???

    anyway...

click on Run on the start menu and type chkdsk c: in the space provided.

then, immediatly restart your system manually.

most probably your system will work fine after this..

if it doesn't call an authorised service man to run the xp recovery console...
