Do you agree with the way the media reported the hockey debacle particularly the headlines?
Euphoric headlines is okay when there is success. But headlines like "Narioanl game, National shame" and " they came, they saw and they ducked" only look like adding salt to the injury! Were the players only to blame? and what is the relevance of 80 years? Is it okay if it was only 50 years? AG Ramasubramanian

Its really bad to quote the loss like that. The medias should have given it in a better way than that. This is as you said is only adding salt to the injury.
For some years India was at the top. But as the sport get exposed more and more teams emerge. So we should not blame the players on the name of legacy. Britain-they played well and won. India could try more hard and can even emerge as the Olympic Hockey Champions.
But its sad that medias haven't highlighted the many glorious moments of Indian hockey as this loss. Our national game is not getting so much popularity as cricket or even football
Lets hope India improves and emerge glorious in many tournaments and cups
Chak de India!!!!!!!!!!!

Now a days media is only sensationalising the news and using such words influencing the mind of the people as what ever they say is correct. The present Indian media is not serving the nation but only 3Cs, Cricket, Crime & cinema. Once king Akbar displayed a potrait and asked his ministers to find out the faults in the picture. Every minister showed some faults in the picture. Then king Akbar asked the ministers to draw same picture keeping in mind the faults the pointed out. No body could do. Same is the case here, everybody is busy in pointing the faults but no body is ready to take the responsibility.

I think we should give the hockey team abit of time.....alrt they have done th immpossible by nt qualifying fr th olympics.....but are the players to be singly blame fr it?????with so much of politics and hunger for power in our hockey.......i guess the administration is to be blamed more than our players....
