One may mis-spell in casual communication but for writing formal letters, presentation matter hence spelling should be correct.

There must be some truth it it, I mean the findings of that research, as your spelling is completely wrong, yet I had no problems at all reading it, understanding it. I personally like proper spelling, I get annoyed by text messages, not really annoyed, but I don't like text messages where someone doesn't know how to spell simple words, and will write for example: deliverys instead of deliveries. But we're all different. I respect other people's opinions and for other people correct spelling may be totally unimportant. I believe that spelling isn't that important as long as other people are able to get your message, as sometimes it's hard to understand something that hardly resembles English spelling. Yet I like to spell correctly. And you????

Try spelling that way on a job application or a resume and see if the prospective employers are amused.
