"Baby Diesel" or V8 engine?
So my wife and I are shopping for a new truck. I've never considered a diesel (because ill never tow anything over 5000-6000lbs) until we started checking out the new trucks. We've narrowed it down to either a Chevy Silverado 1500 or a Ram 1500. They both offer a 3.0 (i6 chevy, v6 ram) diesel engine as an upgrade. The tow rating is less than the largest V8 which is fine because frankly I wont utilize it anyway.
We plan on keeping this truck for a very (10+ years) long time. I've been researching diesels and to me it seems like although they have higher maintenance costs, they last significantly longer in terms of mileage plus better mpg for those long trips.
So... Diesel or V8? Main goal is gonna be longevity of ownership since we aren't towing more that 6000lbs at anytime. 5000 is closer to what we will be towing, and even then its only occasionally.

I want to have an inner tie rod installed on a 2007 Chevy Impala. They will say I will need an alignment. I go somewhere else for alignments. Do I really need to get the alignment when the tie rod is installed or can I get it done somewhere else a few days later?

Hello classic car guys, i have question, I have 1985 chevy k5 blazer 6.2, I'm replacing driver side metal floor and driver side metal floor because rust, lets say I made 2 floors where each floor would be 1 solid peace of metal would that defect the value ? or should i just buy patch panels that are same design and shape as original floors?

How much horsepower will my truck make with the following mods?
Bought a bone stock 99 single cab short bed Silverado with a 5.3L and 4l60E. It’s currently at the shop getting some mods and I should get it back mid April, just wondering how much HP should I expect? And what was my bone stock HP to begin with? Anyone know?

Is it normal for a new clutch to grind trying to get into 1st gear while dieting to a stop?
Chevy hhr I might buy. The guy said he replaced the clutch recently, and I think he did it himself the way he talked. It shifts great aside from it'll grind a little trying to get into 1st unless you're at a complete stop. Is this likely a small problem it should I run?

03 chevy 1500 wont start?

Your mileage would be even better, if you didn't drive around with the front passenger door open.
