    Should I avoid Thailand?

I am considering a trip to Thailand, but have heard that if you criticze Thailand or any businesses in it, you will be imprisoned and only released on an exorbitantly high bail, if released at all.

can an U.S. citizen buy a house in a country like Thailand for around 1/10 the price of one in the USA? why or not?

    Favourite answer:

A US citizen can't buy land in Thailand. No foreigner can. They could buy a condo. Why is it like that? Because that's the way Thailand wants it. I'm not going to check how it is in all the other countries 'like Thailand', whatever they are.

The prices are cheaper in Thailand than in the US because it is a poorer country. People don't earn as much so they can't pay as much.

What is the first thing that arise in your mind when someone talk the word Thailand?

    Favourite answer:

Our home, our cars, and our Condo in Bangkok.  Not bad for an average guy with an average life and average income.  The second thing is don't trust anyone until you have known them for a very long time.

In your opinion, what are the best airlines to travel to Thailand?

    Favourite answer:

I depart Los Angeles and I want to max the day I arrive and not interrupt working on Friday.  So I depart in the evening on Friday and arrive on Sunday morning.  Best for that kind of trip is in order EVA Air, Cathay Pacific and maybe China Airlines.  Last choice is Thai Airways, usually more expensive.  I book it so there is 2 hours or more between connecting flights in Taipei or Hong Kong. All 3 are about even when it comes to food and service.  China Airlines the past few years has been departing late and is only allowing about 90 minutes or 4-6 hours between flights which I do not care for.  There are cheaper airlines, China Eastern, China Southern and Air China and they stop in Beijing and have a so so record of being on time. So one hour or 90 minutes between flights does not work and their down time between flights gets bigger if you choose to wait, like 6 hours or more.  Good luck

Have you traveled to Thailand? How was your experience? Any tips?

    Favourite answer:

Yes, I have many times and now I live here.  My tip is beware of the women, traffic, people who get too friendly to fast, the rate of exchange of the baht, higher prices for foreigners.  Things are not as great as they once were.  They seem to hate us more now. Do not disrespect the King  Don't fall in love on the first night and never think a car is going to stop so you can cross at a crosswalk.   You will never finish your tour is you do.

    Thailand girl?

I met this Thai girl in Thailand and now I am back to Australia. I have been chatting with her for a couple months now although we use both the translate app as I cannot speak Thai and she cannot speak English. I have heard a lot of bad things about Thais. I was just wondering as she went to an island with at best

friend which is a girl but she sent me a message in German and for the first time she called me by babe. She has never called me that before as she always calls me honey. And she said that when she would arrive at the island she would call me, but she didn't. I am not sure if that message was sent by mistake and wasn't meant to be for me. She said was a problem with the net and she was sorry. But I find it hard to believe? I really like her but I think she is playing with me. She said she would need money so she could buy food for her and her parents but I never sent any. And how could she afford to go to this island for 4 days,if she hasn't got money. I am not sure if I believe her , what do you guys think?

    Re-entering into Thailand ?

Just made it back home to the U.S after 24 days in Thailand.  My trip was cut short due to my sister unfortunately passing away from a long fight with her stroke.  Her funeral will be in a few days.  Since I dont have to go back to work in a couple of weeks, I would like to return back to Thailand after the funeral and continue my vacation for another 8 days.  Will I have any problems with immigration flying back and reentering into Thailand within a week?
