Are you allowed to walk around wearing sunglasses at an airport?

    Favourite answer:

Your friend can wear sunglasses inside the airport if he wishes. However, he will be required to remove it when going the security. (Though he can put it back on after screening is completed.)

Though attacks on Asians have been on the uptick, the media is sensationalizing these attacks. I really wish they quit the click-baiting and be more objective.

I am sorry that your friend has become afraid enough that he wants to hide himself. He shouldn't have to. The airport is one of the safest places to be. With security EVERYWHERE, the chances of an assault is extremely remote.

For the record, I am married to an Asian. Both she and my in-laws take some precautions, however they are not afraid and conduct their business as casually as possible.

And to reiterate, Masks is mandatory at all U.S. airports until further notice.

Can I leave off my middle name on my passport?

    Favourite answer:

The name on your passport should match the name on whatever identification you submit with your passport application.  If your middle name is on that (usually your license), then it should be on your passport.

Can I fly with no ID?

Okay so I had a trip planned to Cancun flying out of the airport in Tijuana. Unfortunately my purse was stolen with my ID and passport. I have a copy of my ID, birth certificate, and my social security card. Is it worth a try to get through?

    Air travel while partially vaccinated?

I had planned a trip to New York with some family for late April. At the time we didn’t know what the vaccination situation would look like. A month ago, I backed out of the trip but didn’t cancel anything formally. The folks I was going with were early vaccine recipients so planned to move forward. Then, I unexpectedly got my first Pfizer dose in early April. The trip would fall a few days before I’d go in for my second dose. Part of me feels like it shouldn’t change anything. I’m not fully vaccinated. There will be other trips if I just wait a few weeks, right? The people I would be going with really want me to go. They point out that protection may be upwards of 80% after one dose. I’m feeling pretty torn.

Why is a mask still federal law, even though the CDC said vaccinated people can now travel?

I don't get why were never getting rid of the face masks. The CDC said that people who have been vaccinated can now travel, but still have to wear a mask. Makes me wonder if masks are going to remain on planes forever, at least in the United States. In Europe and other countries, they will do away with masks on planes, but I feel it's forever in the United States.

I imagine in the year 2035, if your in Europe boarding a flight to the United States, the gate agent without a mask will tell all the people going to the United States to wear a mask over their nose and mouth. And then on the 8-12 hour flight, they will tell you to only remove the mask while taking a bite or a sip. If you sleep with the mask off, you will be awaken with a warning card to put the mask back on.

I think many people want this, and I'm seeing it happen. I also think that in 2035, 5-10 million people will be banned from flying forever for not wearing a mask.

My car broke down on my way to the airport, the tow truck took forever to come tow my car home and I missed my flight. Who is responsible?

It's not like I WANTED my car to break down. But then I called tow service from the All State Insurance and they took forever like 1 hour to get to where I was to take me and my car home and I missed my flight because of this. Who should be responsible? This is ridiculous.

Why is Air travel terrible today?

In the old days the food was really good and now days the food is terrible. Many times you don’t even get food unless it is long flight.

And planes where very roaming in the old days. There was lots and lots of airline companies to choose from and now there is only about 5 airline companies to choose from today.

Will mask wearing on transportation and airplanes become legally permanent? ?

Will wearing a mask on transportation, airplanes, and airports become permanent even after the pandemic is over and everybody gets vaccinated? With masks now being federal law, will this federal law become permanent and never be lifted? Will airlines always put people on a no fly list if you refuse to wear your mask? Say it's the year 2028 and you board an American Airlines flight without a mask. Will they still heavily enforce the mask wearing? I also wonder how people will keep their masks over their nose and mouths on a transatlantic flight or a 17 hour flight.

I know Spanish Flu had mask wearing, but why does it seem like masks are going to become permanent? I've read many articles on the media that people will continue to wear masks. Why did COVID-19 change the United States forever? It seems like other countries are going back to normal.

I'm seriously freaking out because I can't keep a mask over my nose and mouth for more than 30 minutes. I also feel so bad because children can't keep a mask on too. I feel like it's child abuse for a 2 year old to keep a mask on their nose and mouth. I also feel it's abuse overall to kick a family off the plane because their toddler can't wear a mask.

What has the United States come to? I'm starting to feel other countries have more freedom. I also fear that Mask Force is going to be the new TSA and will screen people for masks.

I'm really scared of what the future holds. I don't to live in a bubble forever.

Can I travel by plane in the US with only a State ID?

    Favourite answer:

Yes, a state ID is considered government-issued photo ID and is valid for air travel within the US.  As long as it's not expired you won't have any trouble.  Be aware that Real ID compliant IDs will be required for air travel starting Oct 1.  It will have a star on it.

Used a nickname on an airline ticket?

Hello! I booked a trip with American Airlines for domestic travel. I accidentally used the nickname Debbie, instead of what’s on my ID, Debra. Do you think they’ll still let me fly? It costs $25 to correct the name so I only want to change it if it’s necessary. Thank you!
