  You didn't say WHEN you got the shot. If your arm swells up more after 24 hrs has passed, call your doctor. Otherwise, just apply a cool, wet cloth and take OTC pain relievers. Move your arm and massage the muscle to get more blood circulation in that area.

  My concern about the mRNA vaccine is wondering if it could cause some strange allergies in the future?

  From what I understand, allergies are you body's immune response overreacting to harmless things entering your body.

  So the mRNA vaccine sends in a messenger to get your immune system to respond to, in reality, nothing. No virus is in there. But it gets your body to recognize the virus, even though it's not there.

  So can mRNA vaccines cause some kind of weird allergies where people's bodies react to nothing? Just randomly get allergic reactions? Immune responses to nothing, randomly?

  An extra chromosome, making three of a kind ,is called trisomy.

  Down syndrome(trisomy 21, mongolism) is a chromosomal disorder.

  Trisomy 21 is responsible for about 95% of these cases of DS. Other chromosomal abnormalities account for the rest. 

  DS occurs in 1 of 700 newborns, but the risks varies a great deal with the mother's age. More than 20% of infants with DS are born to mothers over the age of 35, yet older mothers bear only 7-8 % of all children. The extra chromosome 21 comes from the father rather than from the mother in 1/4-1/3 of the cases.

  The diagnose of DS CAN OFTEN BE MADE BEFORE BIRTH AND SCREENINGS IS GENERALLY RECOMMENDED FOR PREGNANT WOMEN OVER THE AGE OF 35. Low levels of alpha-fetoprotein in the mother's blood indicate an increased risk of DS in the fetus; a sample of amniotic fluid can then be taken by amniocentesis for analysis to confirm the diagnosis. Using ultrasound scanning a health care provider can often identify physical abnormalities in the fetus

  Am I able to give a kidney to my father?

  Both of my Dad’s kidneys are failing. He’s 68 and I am 41. At his last checkup, his doctor told him he needs a kidney transplant. Otherwise, his health is perfect.

  My Dad is an amazing father and I am scared to death to lose him. I live him so much and it will break my heart to watch him die. I want to go to his doctor and tell him I want to give one of my kidneys to him.

  However, I don’t know what that entails? Has anyone done this before? What kind of requirements are needed? I know my blood type matches his but does age matter?

  My doctor said at MY last checkup that aside from being slightly overweight, just SLIGHTLY, and also even though I take 1 medication for high blood pressure, I am pretty healthy otherwise.

  I am 41 male, not fat but about 15 pounds overweight for what I should be. I don’t drink a lot in my daily life but I enjoy the occasional cocktail every once in a while. Haha. Who doesn’t?

  So what types of things will they need to check me for to make sure I am eligible? Anyone have any answers?

  Why do people get misdiagnosed a lot with Bells Palsy, when instead it's something more serious?

  I know Bells Palsy is legit and people actually deal with it, but I've heard several stories where doctors *think* it's Bells Palsy, when in fact, a drooping face is indicative of something more serious.

  has anyone had the covid vaccine yet?

  I'm type 2 diabetic also, and in my late 50s.  I had the Pfizer vaccine about a month ago.  My arm was a little sore, and I was a bit achy the next day, which may or may not have been related to the vaccine.  My wife had her second dose a week or so ago, similarly, she had a sore arm, and was a bit lethargic the next day.  

  It was offered through where I work.  I talked to a lot of people who got it, and the only trend I noticed was women seemed to have more side effects than men.  The worst was a woman who had a fever a bit over 103, but it cleared up within 24 hours. 

  I suspect everything will go fine for you.  Don't worry, just appreciate the fact that you are able to get it.

  If you have a disability and were fired because of it should you go on disability or unemployment?

  Let's say you have fibromyalgia bad. In bed 24/7, severe pain, brain fog, physically unable to stand, reading is difficult etc you're basically a vegetable.

  Should you try to heal on disability or should you go on unemployment and force yourself through another full time job when you're really sick? I was fired because I kept writing down the wrong information, I couldn't remember anything that someone was telling me because I only get 2-3 hours of broken up sleep a night and I also couldn't even stand up because I felt really dizzy, even passed out twice on the job but my work fired me because I couldn't do the job and it was just an office job answering phones and greeting people. The pain is the issue It's so severe I cry every day and no pain meds help.

  I'm trying to heal my body so I'm hoping if I go on disability I can work on that then get a job. I still get a monthly paycheck because I used to have a youtube channel and my videos are still up and earn me $. So I do have a tiny income. I'm 21 and live with my family. They don't really care about me though they just let me stay in my room.

  What do you think? Disability or should I go on unemployment and look for a job? I tried working as a rep online in customer service before my office job and I failed that too because I couldn't think straight or had dizzy episodes where I felt spaced out while texting a customer
