Assalaamu alaykum,

A very close friend of mine, has just lost her young one year old daughter after spending tedious heart breaking long weeks in hospital. To see her distressed and sitting by her dead baby at the funeral today was the most heart breaking scene I've ever saw. Even though I have tried my best to console her with the wonderful promises of Allah (swt) concerning the akhira and about being strong and patient when Allah (swt) is testing her, and that He tests whom He loves, and that in'sha Allah she will be blessed with a baby soon and so on..

Its just... so heart breaking !! I mean I love her so much and I just can't seem to get my mind of the things that she has to face at such a young age !! Also, I request you to make dua for her please :(

Is there anyother things that I could tell her, that would comfort her?

Prophet(s.a.w) said : Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being strange as it begun. So toobaa (something good) is for the strangers. (Sahih Muslim)

Prophet (s.a.w) said : "It was said, "who are they (Strangers) Messenger of Allah?" for which He (S.a.w) replied, "Those who rectify when people have become corrupt" (A saheeh hadith reported in Ahmad and at-tabaraane)

Others have transmitted with the following words, in which he (S.a.w) said, "They are those who flee from trials (Fitan) for the sake of their religion".

How often do non muslims find Islam as something weird, and muslims as strangers? Yet sometimes muslims want to 'mix in' and become moderate (as they call it) and leave their religion.

What is our life worth it, if its not for Islam?

Abu Hurayra described the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, with the words,

"He was of medium height, but nearer to being tall. He was very white with a black beard and good front teeth. He had long eye-lashes. He was very broad between the shoulders and had full cheeks. He walked on his entire foot, but they did not have a hollow. He turned completely towards people or turned his back completely. I have not seen anyone like him before or since.'"

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad Al-Bukhari, 1155

Insha'Allah we meet him (s.a.w) on the day of judgement, and stand along side him, we are his ummah Alhamduillah :')

Look at this dua of Ibrahim (a.s) :

"Our Lord! send amongst them an Messenger of their own, who shall rehearse Thy Signs to them and instruct them in scripture and wisdom, and sanctify them: For Thou art the Exalted in Might, the Wise."

(2: 129)

And Allah(swt) accepted it !!

He (swt) sent, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w), through whose prophethood, we have this amazing, Book of Allah in our hands, The Qur'an. And generations and generations of muslims who accepted Tawheed, and came within the folds of Islam..!

All because of our Ibrahim (a.s)'s dua for his future generations...

Such is the power of Dua, SubhanAllah !!

Also, what are we doing for our future generations?

Stop something that your not sure of, whether the deed is an of disobedience or not to Allah(swt) and that your confused about intentions and other things, but feel guilty about it, then again convince yourself that your intention was right, but again feel guilty after it. Btw, you end up doing it, because you have nothing better to do in life, anyway.

If my above passage confused you, pls this is my Question..

How would you know that a particular act or deed is NOT disobedience to Allah(swt), when it is not clearly mentioned?

It was narrated that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab said: “Some prisoners were brought to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and there was a woman among the prisoners who was searching (for her child). When she found her child she embraced him and put him to her breast. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to us, ‘Do you think that this woman would throw her child in the fire?’ We said, ‘No, by Allaah, not if she is able not to.’ The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘Allaah is more merciful to His slaves than this woman is to her child.’”

Agreed upon. Al-Bukhaari, 5653; Muslim, 6912.

Do we deserve Allah's Love and Mercy? Are we obeying Him to the best of our ability and lead our lives according to His commands and His prescribed way or just follow some of His commands and leave the rest?

May Allah(swt) protect us all from hell fire, ameen.

That makes him/her confused about what sex he/she is. And that person is not merely a crossdresser (the ones whom Prophet(s.a.w)) has cursed. But rather this is something that has to do with the birth, which we have no control over.

People who cross dress still know that they are male (if they have a male body) and vice versa. Islam accepts people who have been born with both sexual organs and even has completely different fiqh issues for them. So whats the case with people who have this condition?

Please have proofs to back up your answer :)

The fact that we have already seen Allah(swt) and have even testified that He(swt) is our Rabb, and I think we probably don't remember it now, because this life is a test for us.

Allah(swt) revealed this verse :

" And (remember) when your Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their loins, their seed and made them testify as to themselves (saying): "Am I not your Lord'' They said: "Yes! We testify,'' lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection: "Verily, we were unaware of this.'' "

"Or lest you should say: "It was only our fathers aforetime who took others as partners in worship along with Allah, and we were (merely their) descendants after them; will You then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practiced falsehood'' ". (7:172-173)

And it is recorded in the Two Sahihs from Abu Hurayrah who said that the Messenger of Allah said, "

Every child is born upon the Fitrah, it is only his parents who turn him into a Jew, a Christian or a Zoroastrian. Just as animals are born having full bodies, do you see any of them having a cut off nose (when they are born).

Muslim recorded that `Iyad bin `Himar said that the Messenger of Allah said;

"Allah said, `I created My servants Hunafa' (monotheists), but the devils came to them and deviated them from their religion, prohibiting what I allowed."

There are Hadiths that mention that Allah took Adam's offspring from his loins and divided them into those on the right and those on the left.

Being a scared month specific to do good deeds, How is Ramadan so far for you guys, better than the last? :)

Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) says, "Ramadan has come to you. (It is) a month of blessing, in which Allah covers you with blessing, for He sends down Mercy, decreases sins and answers prayers. In it, Allah looks at your competition (in good deeds), and boasts about you to His angels. So show Allah goodness from yourselves, for the unfortunate one is he who is deprived in (this month) of the mercy of Allah, the Mighty, the Exalted." [Narrated by Tabarani]

Haven't been here for a while, and Yaay !! its Ramadan :D

Alhamduillah, Allah(Swt) has given us another chance to increase our good deeds, and enabled us to witness Ramadan.

How is Ramadan for all of you? The blessed non-shaiytan atmosphere, suhoor, iftaar, praying taraweeh, and everything about fasting..

Yaa Allah(swt) please help us get the full benefits of Ramadan and raise our status during the day of Judgment, ameen.

So also if ANYONE mu'min shud aproach u with SINCERE ADVIC...E never turn it down just bcos u dnt think the brother/sister is "perfect". Wake up now and face the REALITY, we are all sons of adam A.S NONE of us is perfect, if you wait for the perfect one to come before u take advice then u will NEVER take advice ur whole life. Rather, like the soiled GOLD, take it WASH off the dirt in it and use it for you own good, u never know it cud be the LAST time Allaah sends someone ur way with a sincere heart.... Just a word of advice for us ALL"

Ramadan is almost here, Alhamduillah and it very very essential for us to prepare for this blessed month. By preparing we maintain our imaan through out the month (without missing out on the blessed month's benefits) Insha'Allah. I thought I'd share some tips on how to prepare for Ramadan :)

1.Try to fast on Mondays and Thursdays as of today.

2.Start reading the Quran everyday after Fajr prayers.

3.Spend some time listening to recitations from the Quran.

4.Train yourself to go bed early so that you do not miss the Fajr prayers.

5.Keep yourself in a state of Wudu most of the time.

6.Evaluate yourself each day before going to bed.

7.Thank Allah for good deeds, and repent to Him for your mistakes and sins.

8.Give yourself time alone, so that you can meditate, make dhikr and tasbeeh.

9.Start giving Sadaqah each day, no matter how little. Make it a habit like eating and drinking.

10.Spend more time reading Islamic books, especially the Quran, Seerah, Hadith, and Fiqh.

11.Find time to help others with your wisdom, knowledge and talent.Try to write articles on Islam for Muslims and non-Muslims.

I think not preparing for the month of Ramadan is why the masjids are half filled during Night prayers and Fajr prayers, during the middle of Ramadan itself? What do you think?

Assalaamu alaykum brothers n sisters :)

Allaah (swt) says :

“It is the same (to Him) whether any of you conceals his speech or declares it openly, whether he be hid by night or goes forth freely by day.

For him (each person), there are angels in succession, before and behind him. They guard him by the Command of Allaah”

[al-Ra’d 13:10-11]

The commentator on the Qur’aan who had the best understanding of it, Ibn ‘Abbaas, explained that the mu’aqqibaat [translated here as “angels in succession”] refers to the angels whom Allaah has appointed to guard man from in front and from behind. When the decree of Allaah comes – when He decrees that some accident or calamity etc. should befall him – the angels withdraw from him.

Mujaahid said: There is no person who does not have an angel appointed to protect him when he is asleep and when he is awake, from the jinn, men and wild beasts. There is nothing that comes to him but the angels tell it to clear off, except for that which Allaah grants permission for it to befall him.

SubhanAllah !!

Allah(swt) protects us from calamities through His messengers (angels), and yet we remain ungrateful by not obeying Him in certain aspects or forget to remember Him. Every child of Adam is surrounded by angels, who gaurd him, protect him, write down his good and bad deeds, right from the womb to the graves. And yet many times, we think that we're alone (especially in distress and misery).. Forgetting Allah(swt) our sustainer !!

Salaam alaykum brothers n sisters :)

The body of the son of Adam was created from the earth and his soul from the government of Heaven and then they were joined. If he is hungry, stays awake, and keeps his body busy in serving Allah, his soul will find itself lighter and more peaceful so that it would long for the place from which it was created and miss its heavenly world.

But if he secures food, blessings, sleep, and rest, the body will incline to remain at the place from which it was created and the soul would be pulled along with it and be in a prison.

If it was not for the fact that it would get used to that prison, it would ask for help, as a tortured person does, to find relief from the pain resulting from the separation and departure from its own world from which it was created.

You may see the soul of a man in Heaven while his body is on the earth. Another person serves Allah with his body and his soul is low and wandering about in lowly matters.

When the soul separates from the body, it would either catch up with its high or low place.

Allah says, which means,

"But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur1an nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship."(Taha, 20:124)

Hardship in this worldly life, following piety will find its relief in partition and the Hereafter, and relief in this worldly life following desires will find its hardship in the partition and the Hereafter.

This sermon was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul Hijjah 10 A.H. in the 'Uranah valley of Mount Arafat' (in Mecca).

After praising, and thanking Allah he(s.a.w) said:

"O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE WORDS TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your LORD, and that HE will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. Allah has Judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn 'Abd'al Muttalib (Prophet's uncle) shall henceforth be waived...

Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship ALLAH, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, NO PROPHET OR APOSTLE WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my example, the SUNNAH and if you follow these you will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O ALLAH, that I have conveyed your message to your people".
